The Bright Thinking in Solar

Roof Mount Solutions

Engineering is most important when installing PV mounting technology on a roof. When attaching a solar array to a building, trust Unirac and our 10 years of proven performance helping businesses and homeowners benefit from solar solutions.

For flush mount applications, SolarMount and SunFrame rail solutions are accompanied by installation documentation, on-line estimators and design assistance; all part of our customer service that you won't find anywhere else.

For flat roof applications, RapidRac benefits the installer with minimal parts, faster installation, reduced labor expenses and versatility; all customer-driven demands. Unirac Large Arrays (U-LAs) use aluminum or steel components combined with SolarMount rails to create durable, rigid truss structures to handle a wider range of site and climactic challenges.

Unirac Large Array (U-LA)

Megawatts of experience

Unirac Large Arrays start at 3 kilowatts, but their size is limited only by the size of your ground site or the structural strength of your flat roof. We design U-LAs for a wider range of site and climactic challenges than any other PV structure on the market.

Case Study

Case Study: Google Campus, California

With 9,000 panels to rack and a variety of roof styles to contend with, Unirac performed custom engineering analysis of the structures to match the best products with each roof. A non-penetrating racking system was used for the standing-seam roofs which Unirac was readily able to accommodate. The South pitched roofs used the SolarMount/S-5 product line, while the North pitched roofs used a custom tilted SolarMount/S-5 solution with the panels installed at 0-degree pitch in order to maximize module density. Innovative tools to pre-space the S-5 and SolarMount rails helped speed installation, keeping labor costs to a minimum. Carport structures were fitted with the SunFrame racking product for optimal aesthetics and ease of installation.
